What these terms cover
These terms apply when you open an account with Demo and use it to hold, send, convert or save money. By opening an account you confirm that you accept them, that you are old enough to enter a contract where you live, and that using this service is lawful there.
Your account
Keep your password, PIN and two-factor codes to yourself. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it. One person may hold one account.
We may ask you to verify your identity before you can use some features or send larger amounts. Until you do, lower limits apply.
Money in your account
Money you add is credited once it has arrived and been checked. Each currency you hold is shown separately. Transfers to another member arrive straight away. Transfers to a bank account are reviewed before they are sent, and any payment may be held while we complete a check or investigate a security concern.
You are responsible for the details you enter. A payment sent to an account number or address you entered incorrectly may not be recoverable.
Rates and fees
When you convert money, send money or use a paid feature, we show the rate and any fee before you confirm. We do not charge fees you have not been shown.
Other products
Each product you use shows its own terms before you open it: the rate, the term, any fees and what happens if you close it early. Those terms apply alongside these. Where you invest, values can fall as well as rise, and past performance is not a guide to future returns.
Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used for fraud or money laundering, or where the law requires it. If we close your account without cause, we will return any available balance to you.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance, network problems and events outside our control can interrupt it.
Changes to these terms
We will tell you before a significant change takes effect.
